Transforming the Acoustic Experience at Jing Shi Hui Cheng School!

Located in the heart of Bo Luo County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, Jing Shi Hui Cheng School aims to become a top-tier elite institution with high standards, quality education, internationalization, modernization, and influence. In the process of school renovation, acoustic decoration emerged as a crucial element, playing a vital role in enhancing the overall educational environment.
The multi-purpose hall serves as a versatile space for various activities such as conferences, presentations, artistic performances, and screenings. It includes a multi-functional auditorium, a conference hall, and a banquet hall.
Due to the architectural variations, the multi-purpose hall may encounter different acoustic challenges, such as echo, sound focusing, and multiple reflections, resulting in uneven sound distribution and affecting the proper functioning of the audio system. The design of the multi-purpose hall needs to consider comprehensive elements like HVAC systems, structural maintenance, sound isolation, and audio control rooms.
During the initial acoustic design phase of the multi-purpose hall (auditorium), ODEON was employed for indoor acoustic simulation. Based on the specific project requirements, the software predicted the room impulse response from the sound source to the receiver points, which can be imported from SketchUp or other CAD software. The software can export acoustic parameters such as T30, D50, EDT, and SPL. By controlling the indoor reflections, sound absorption, and interface scattering properties, the acoustic system of the multi-purpose hall (auditorium) can achieve the desired sound quality.
The multi-purpose hall (auditorium) needs to meet the acoustic requirements as a venue for conferences and artistic performances, ensuring clear speech, sufficient volume, even sound distribution, and the ability to faithfully reproduce the dynamics and richness of sound.
Therefore, after architectural acoustic treatment, the venue should not exhibit noticeable echoes, multiple reflections, or vibrational resonances, meeting the needs of the space and achieving clear audio playback and high speech intelligibility.
In the multi-purpose hall (auditorium), the ceiling features Taojing Acoustics' ceramic sand absorption panels, while the walls are adorned with Taojing Acoustics' 13-3 slotted red glass fiber absorption panels, red glass base material flat reflection panels, and MLS diffusers made with A-grade gray magnesite boards.
