Sonic Symphony: Jiamei Experimental School's Architectural Marvel Harmonizing Education and Acoustics!

Unveiling the acoustic marvel at Jiamei Experimental School, nestled beside Haijing Avenue in Dalang Town, Guangzhou! A beacon of 'Jiamei Education,' this member of the Shimen Education Group embraces the ethos of 'Blessing, Integration, Harmony, and Shared Beauty' as its core educational philosophy.

To meet national standards for acoustic design in civil buildings, auditoriums, and sports arenas, we undertook a specialized acoustic decor design to mitigate issues like vibration echoes and sound focus, ensuring an environment conducive to clear language articulation and controlled reverberation.

In the case of the multifunctional hall, adhering to specifications outlined in the 'Acoustic Design Code for Theaters, Cinemas, and Multipurpose Halls' (GBT50356-2005), we ensured the audience hall's effective volume of approximately 2250m³ met the criteria of a mid-frequency range (500-1000Hz) full-field reverberation time T≤0.9±0.10s. Designed for academic presentations, small to medium-sized meetings, and artistic performances, the hall also features a control room for real-time monitoring and program switching.

For a vibrant aesthetic reflecting themes like 'Youthful Vigor,' 'Fertile Grounds of Life,' and 'Vitality and Growth,' wood grain patterns and a color palette of yellow and green were employed, creating an atmosphere of dynamic positivity. Acoustic elements included perforated ceramic sand absorption panels on the walls, double-layer gypsum boards on the ceiling, PVC flooring for the audience area, and specialized stage flooring and seating.

In the gymnasium, catering to the acoustic requirements of student basketball and badminton training and competitions, the focus was on achieving clear language, ample loudness, and uniform sound distribution. In alignment with the 'Code for Acoustic Design and Measurement of Sports Venues' (JGJ/T131-2012), the gymnasium's effective volume of approximately 11,000m³ adhered to a mid-frequency range (500-1000Hz) full-field reverberation time T≤1.4±0.10s. The stage area was transformed into a table tennis zone, catering to various sports needs. Acoustic measures included red glass perforated absorption structures on the walls, full-frequency spatial absorption bodies on the ceiling, and PVC flooring.

The Jiamei Experimental School acoustic design is a testament to our commitment to creating educational spaces that resonate with excellence.
