Harmony in Acoustics: Transforming Guangxi Laibin Worker's Cultural Palace Theater with Innovative Design

Discover the epitome of acoustical excellence at the Guangxi Laibin Worker's Cultural Palace Theater, a landmark designed and constructed by our team. With over 800 seats, this iconic structure is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, audio, and stage machinery, tailored to meet the professional requirements of hosting medium-sized performances such as concerts, plays, operas, and dance productions, as well as various large and medium-sized conferences.

In our acoustical design solution, we utilized sandstone absorption panels as the primary acoustic material for the venue's walls, creating a seamless blend of functionality and artistic expression. Slot wood absorption panels were strategically installed on both sides of the audience seats to effectively reduce mid-to-high-frequency reverberation. Behind the audience seats, a combination of slot wood and sandstone panels was employed, not only enhancing acoustic performance but also adding an artistic touch to the space.

The slot wood absorption panels, featuring slotted resonant absorptive surfaces, excel in selectively absorbing sound frequencies and exhibit excellent performance in mid-to-low-frequency absorption. When combined with sound-absorbing cotton in the rear cavity, the panels further enhance absorption efficiency. Meanwhile, sandstone absorption panels, as an integral part of the interior design, seamlessly support large-scale, seamless installation, offering not only outstanding acoustic properties but also vibrant colors, overall aesthetics, and a textured decorative surface.

Our scope of design for the Guangxi Laibin Worker's Cultural Palace Theater included the theater itself, sound lock rooms, projection rooms, dressing rooms, sound control rooms, and lighting control rooms. Following the implementation of our acoustical design solution, the reverberation time in the theater was successfully controlled, achieving an impressive 1.3 seconds. The owner expressed utmost satisfaction with both the final acoustical and decorative results of this project.
