Discover the acoustic metamorphosis at Changsha University of Finance and Economics Gymnasium, where sports and sound converge in a harmonious blend of innovation and tranquility. This newly constructed sports arena, spanning 3200 sq. meters, serves as the epicenter for athletic competitions, training sessions, and campus gatherings.
In the heart of the gymnasium lies the competition pool, a rectangular expanse where the resonance of ball strikes, footsteps, and referee whistles could potentially disrupt the auditory experience. To tackle this challenge, our ingenious design solution embraced eco-friendly flame-retardant composite wood acoustic panels. These panels, utilizing the inherent warmth and delicate natural texture of wood, not only enhance the auditory ambiance but also create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere, reducing the sense of constraint for both students and faculty.
The flame-retardant wood acoustic panels, featuring slotted resonance on the front and perforations on the back, exhibit exceptional selectivity in absorbing sound frequencies, especially in the mid to low range. The standardized modular design, employing slot and keel structures, ensures straightforward installation and makes them ideal for wall or ceiling decoration.
This transformative acoustic approach was applied across various areas within the gymnasium, including the basketball court, badminton and table tennis facilities, equipment rooms, reception areas, and changing rooms. Following the implementation of our architectural acoustic design, the gymnasium's reverberation time was successfully controlled, achieving a commendable 1.3 seconds.
Step into a soundscape where athleticism meets auditory excellence, as the Changsha University of Finance and Economics Gymnasium becomes a testament to the seamless integration of architectural acoustics and sporting prowess.
