Nestled in the heart of Qianxi County, Guizhou Province, Shuixi Grand Theater stands as a key project, seamlessly blending traditional theater charm with the adaptability demanded by modern artistic needs. This professional opera house, designed to accommodate both natural sound performances and theatrical productions, embarked on a journey of acoustic excellence from the conceptual stage, weaving through design, construction, and trial tuning to achieve exceptional sound quality.
For the acoustical shaping of Shuixi Grand Theater, premium sound-absorbing products took center stage—flame-retardant slotted wooden absorption panels and large-format soft fabric absorption panels.
The flame-retardant slotted wooden absorption panel is a meticulously crafted resonance absorption material featuring front-facing slotted perforations on density boards. This panel exhibits strong selectivity in absorbing sound frequencies, particularly excelling in mid to low-frequency absorption. Enhancing its effectiveness, filling the cavity behind the absorption structure with an adequate amount of sound-absorbing cotton improves mid to high-frequency absorption. With a standardized modular design utilizing slot and keel structures, installation is simplified, making it suitable for wall or ceiling decoration.
The slotted wooden absorption panel offers a wide range of color and material choices for a customizable acoustic and decorative experience, catering to the diverse acoustic and aesthetic demands of opera houses, theaters, recording studios, broadcasting studios, conference rooms, multipurpose halls, and other acoustically demanding venues.
Following a professional acoustic design, Shuixi Grand Theater boasts outstanding acoustic performance. To date, the theater has successfully hosted numerous grand musical events, including the Qianxi County New Year's Gala, the 2019 New Year Symphony Concert, and the 17th People's Congress of Qianxi County. The impeccable acoustics serve as a testament to the success of the harmonious marriage of design and sound.
