Established in 1989, Guangdong Baiyun University is a private undergraduate institution located in Guangzhou, Guangdong. This case study highlights the acoustic design and installation process carried out for the multipurpose auditorium at Guangdong Baiyun University.
The project encompasses a single building with an approximate area of 6,000 square meters, consisting of a lobby, a grand auditorium, conference rooms, practice rooms, and a choir room. The grand auditorium features 1,345 seats and a volume of approximately 12,000 cubic meters. Designed as a multifunctional space, it caters to various events, including movies, conferences, and festive performances.
In conjunction with functional requirements and aesthetic considerations, provided a comprehensive acoustic design solution. The scope of services included acoustic calculations, ODEON acoustic model analysis, construction drawings, detailed layout design, acoustic material supply, on-site installation, post-maintenance, and support for important performances.
Swift Implementation and Satisfactory Results: The entire project was completed in just 60 days, successfully meeting both decorative and acoustic requirements. The auditorium was inaugurated on December 20, 2019, playing a pivotal role in the "30th Anniversary Celebration of Guangdong Baiyun University."
