From December 13th to 15th, 2018, the inaugural World Ecological Design Conference, themed 'Ecological by Design, Fields of Hope,' unfolded in the heart of Guangzhou's Liangkou Town, in the eco-friendly enclave of HuaChuan.
The conference hall, set against the picturesque backdrop of this eco-design haven, is the epicenter for a multitude of prestigious and sizeable gatherings. This acoustically-tuned space, boasting a spacious grid ceiling, brick walls, and ample windows, sprawls across 1510 sq. meters, soaring to an impressive height of 16 meters with the decorative ceiling. The hall encompasses an internal volume of approximately 24,160 cubic meters.
For the conference's diverse needs, it had to meet a range of acoustic prerequisites: clear audibility, impeccable clarity, consistent sound coverage, rich warmth, and the absence of any disruptive echoes.
The core acoustic materials utilized in the World Ecological Design Conference's main venue include sound-absorbing structures, aluminum grille ceilings, large-format acoustic panels, and perforated wooden sound absorbers. All these materials meet the stringent E1-level technical standards laid out in GB 18580-2001, which defines formaldehyde emissions from interior decoration materials and their products. These materials not only fulfill national environmental standards but also align perfectly with the conference's 'Ecological by Design' theme, offering a harmonious blend of acoustic effectiveness and aesthetic appeal.
