Nestled in the heart of Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, China, Jiangmen Guangya School is a beacon of quality education, offering a diverse range of resources from kindergarten to high school and even international programs. Committed to building a high-end campus culture, they strive for educational excellence, setting the standard for premium private education.
One of their remarkable achievements is the construction of a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose indoor sports arena spanning over 2,000 square meters at Guangya High School. This arena is a hub of athleticism, performance, entertainment, and fitness, equipped with two standard basketball courts and a grand stage perfect for conferences and cultural events. The primary acoustic design goal was to achieve a mid-frequency reverberation time of 1.5±0.1 seconds to meet its multi-functional purpose.
With large, naturally lit spaces, the acoustic design addressed the need for strong sound absorption within the existing ceiling grid structure. High-performance acoustic materials were strategically placed to effectively control the reverberation time, while significantly reducing the load on the original ceiling grid structure.
Meeting the acoustic design requirements was only the beginning. The construction team, with meticulous and precise installation techniques, delivered results that matched the design's promise. During the acoustic inspection, the mid-frequency reverberation time (RT) was recorded at 1.53 seconds, fully in line with the design specifications. The completed project earned not only recognition but high praise from both teachers and students who continue to enjoy the acoustically optimized arena.
This impressive achievement showcases the school's dedication to providing top-tier facilities for their students and the broader community. Their commitment to acoustic excellence ensures that the arena serves as a versatile space for sports, entertainment, and education. Interested in achieving acoustic excellence for your project?
