From December 13th to 15th, 2018, the inaugural World Eco Design Conference, themed "Designing Ecologies, Cultivating Hopes," convened in Liangkou Town, Guangzhou Conghua Eco Design Town. This event marked the permanent home for the conference venue, a testament to its significance.
The main conference hall of the World Eco Design Conference accommodates a range of large-scale events and incorporates simultaneous interpretation capabilities. Featuring a lattice ceiling structure, brick walls, and extensive windows, the architectural layout spans 1510 square meters. With a decorated ceiling height of approximately 16 meters and an internal volume of approximately 24160 cubic meters, the hall was designed to address specific acoustic challenges, including the need for sufficient sound levels, optimal clarity, even sound distribution, richness, intimacy, and minimal echo interference.
The primary acoustic materials employed in the main conference hall of the World Eco Design Conference include space-absorbing structures, aluminum grille ceilings, large-format sound-absorbing panels, and perforated wood absorption panels. These products all adhere to the technical requirements of GB 18580-2001, "Indoor Decorating and Refurbishing Materials - Limit of Formaldehyde Emission from Wood-based Panels and Finishing Products," achieving the E1 level, which aligns with national environmental standards. Notably, these materials resonate with the conference theme, "Designing Ecologies," as they are not only environmentally conscious but also adeptly balance acoustic and aesthetic considerations.
By employing these advanced acoustic materials, the World Eco Design Conference created a conference hall that not only embodies the essence of eco-conscious design but also ensures optimal auditory experiences for attendees. The integration of these materials underscores the event's commitment to both design innovation and sustainable practices, setting a new benchmark for future conferences worldwide.
