Introducing the Jiangsu Changshu Dragon Soaring Sports Arena - a state-of-the-art, newly constructed professional basketball venue that demanded acoustic excellence for its diverse range of events, including competitions, training sessions, and entertainment shows.In response to the unique requirements of this project, we embarked on a comprehensive acoustic optimization journey, starting with an adjustment of the reverberation time in alignment with the arena's design specifications. This allowed us to establish precise acoustic benchmarks tailored to the venue's multifaceted needs. Subsequently, we identified and devised solutions to address the acoustic shortcomings stemming from the original design, providing a detailed acoustic simulation analysis report.
The challenges at hand included rectifying issues such as excessive reverberation, flutter echoes, and multiple reflections - all common in venues that lack dedicated acoustic design. These acoustic imperfections can severely hinder the functionality of audio equipment and overall user experience.
For the selection of acoustic materials, we chose specialized sound absorption modules designed explicitly for sports arenas. These products not only met stringent fire safety standards with a Class A rating but also upheld top-notch environmental standards with an E1 rating. Following meticulous design and construction processes, the acoustic performance of the Dragon Soaring Sports Arena not only met but exceeded our expectations, ensuring that the venue adheres to the highest standards of acoustic excellence. This has enabled the arena to cater to a wide range of events while providing a superior auditory experience for all attendees.
