Spanning a total area of approximately 28,000 square meters and soaring 28 meters in height, this magnificent establishment encompasses a plethora of remarkable spaces, including a grand symphony hall accommodating over 1,400 seats, a versatile multi-functional hall accommodating nearly 500 seats, and an intimate indoor music hall with close to 300 seats. Uniting art, gastronomy, leisure, and artistic training under one roof, this fully-equipped music hall warmly welcomes around 3,000 music enthusiasts to revel in the arts and partake in enriching artistic endeavors.
Unveiling Ideal Acoustics:
To achieve the pinnacle of acoustic excellence, precise adjustments were made to the symphony hall's profile and the volume of each seating area. Thoughtful tweaks to the architectural and interior plans ensured early lateral sound reflections reached every corner of the audience area. Adapting the ceiling design, careful attention was paid to satisfy the acoustic requirements for both top surface reflections and the volume of each seating position, while ingeniously breaking away from concave architectural elements to avoid sound focus. Complementing the interior decor, surfaces were meticulously treated with diffusion and micro-diffusion techniques, harmoniously dispersing sound throughout the space and creating a unified sonic experience.
Exquisite Sound Materials:
The meticulous selection and strategic placement of acoustic materials on various surfaces within the symphony hall are pivotal in shaping the sound distribution and diffusion properties. To achieve a well-balanced resonance and prevent excessive low-frequency absorption, a solid wood floor with filled joist gaps was employed in the audience hall. The acoustic ceiling, engineered to boast strong reflective properties while minimizing low-frequency absorption, featured reinforced fiber precast gypsum boards, offering both rigidity and meeting fire safety standards. Recognizing the significance of early sound reflections, the walls within the box and terrace seating areas were engineered to be thick and robust, allowing for optimal sound reflection while minimizing sound absorption.

Harmonious Absorption in the Audience Area:
The audience seating area plays a crucial role in absorbing mid-to-high frequencies, accounting for approximately 80% of the overall sound absorption in the symphony hall. Its acoustic performance significantly influences the actual reverberation time within the space. With this in mind, the meticulous selection of seating materials and design became a pivotal aspect of the concert hall's acoustic design. Ensuring the acoustic performance of the seats remained consistent between empty and occupied conditions, the seats were crafted to avoid generating noise, especially collision sounds. Wooden backrests and armrests were preferred, while the backrests were adorned with a subtle wooden frame and soft cushions, providing both comfort and acoustic functionality. The underside of the seat cushions was thoughtfully treated with sound-absorbing measures, with locally perforated wooden board surfaces recommended by Tiange Acoustics.
